Granville County is home to the largest pepper producer / distributor on the eastern seaboard - Bailey Farms. We are also home to "Spice it Up" Hot Sauce (2005 New Product of the year and also our winner of the Critics "Meet the Heat" award and People's Choice Award for 2008). As our community was searching for a "Smoking Hot Event" to bring people downtown... the NC Hot Sauce Contest was born!!
Producers from all across the state come together for a fun-filled day, showcasing NC Hot Sauces, NC Microbreweries, NC Wines, NC Barbeque Sauces, NC Fiery Foods, Antiques, Granville Gardeners Plant Sale, Granville County Museum Treasure Sale and much, much more!

From 9:00 to 4:00 Antiques from the Eastern Seaboard including fine furniture, sterling, cut glass and depression glass, porcelains, antique and estate jewelry, antique books and small collectibles will be for sale at the 3rd Annual Heritage Festival.
The Granville Gardeners Club's plant sale at the Gazebo in the Men's Garden Club Park at the corner of Spring and Wall Streets will feature mums, other perennials, shrubs, trees, tender perennials, ornamental grasses, vines, ground covers, bulbs, and some tropicals. A Tom Jordan rustic bird house will be raffled, and there will be a silent auction of special items. Join us for lemonade and plant talk in the Gazebo.
See our beautiful historic town beginning with a free carriage ride at the library! While at the library, stop in for the "Annual Book Sale."
